What Pipedrive’s own importer does
Worth knowing before the file goes in, because each of these shows up as a failed row rather than a warning.
- Custom fields have to exist in Pipedrive before the import runs, not during it.
- Rows missing a mandatory field drop into a skip file to reconcile afterwards.
- An import can be reverted only within 48 hours, and only by a global admin.
The fields Operelio maps into Pipedrive
Ordered by how many of the 22 templates fill each one, so what a typical import populates comes first. The API name is what Pipedrive calls the field underneath its label.

How the data gets into Pipedrive
Two routes. Connect Pipedrive over OAuth on the Starter plan and above, and Operelio writes the records itself. Or format the file on any plan, including Free, and import it yourself.
- Records are matched on email. New ones are created, existing ones updated, and the preview tells you how many of each before anything is sent.
- On an existing record it fills blank fields only, unless you ask it to overwrite every mapped field.
- It never deletes. Duplicates and dead records are reported back to you as a list, and removing them stays your call.
