It learns from your own sends
After you send, upload which addresses delivered and which bounced. Operelio then scores the Finder's guesses more cautiously on domains that bounce often in your sends. It never changes a confirmed verdict, and your bounce results are never pooled with other customers'.

How does email verification work?
Operelio checks the format, then whether the domain has a mail server, then asks that server whether the mailbox exists, then takes a deeper look at catch-all domains. The free checker runs the first two steps, and Full verification runs all four.
Can Operelio verify a whole list before a CRM import?

What is a catch-all domain?
A catch-all domain accepts mail for any address, whether the mailbox exists or not, so no check can confirm the inbox. Operelio gives catch-all addresses a deeper second check and marks them catch-all, never verified.
Will verifying stop bounces?
Operelio stops the bounces a check can see: addresses that don't exist and domains that can't take mail come out before you send. A catch-all address, or a mailbox closed after the check, can still bounce.
