Monday.com import templates and field mappings
What a Monday.com import actually fills, field by field, with the API name for each one. 5 fields across 15 ready-made mappings for 15 different exports. Operelio formats the file and Monday.com imports it.
The fields Operelio maps into Monday.com
Ordered by how many of the 15 templates fill each one, so what a typical import populates comes first. The API name is what Monday.com calls the field underneath its label.
| Field | API name | Templates |
|---|---|---|
Email | 15 | |
| Name | Name | 15 |
| Phone | Phone | 14 |
| Company | Company | 13 |
| Notes | Notes | 7 |
Every template also lists the columns it deliberately does not map, and why, on its own page.
How the data gets into Monday.com
Operelio formats the file for Monday.com on every plan, including Free, and you import it with Monday.com’s own importer. Direct push currently covers HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive.
- Columns are renamed to the field names Monday.com expects, so its importer matches them instead of asking you to map each one by hand.
- Values are cleaned on the way through: emails lowercased and trimmed, phone numbers put into international format, names title-cased. Each template lists the transform it applies to every field.
- Rows that would fail are shown before you download, not after the import rejects them.
