  • Your CRM is HubSpot or Pipedrive, or you run one of them next to Salesforce.
  • You want imports run from saved mappings, without a Salesforce admin setting up each load.
  • You want a published price, and to start on the Free plan with 15 of 17 tools.

Choose DemandTools if

  • Salesforce is your only CRM and an admin runs your data work.
  • You need to match imports on any field or set of fields, across several objects at once.
  • You also need mass updates, deletes and dedupe of records already in Salesforce.

A Salesforce admin suite or four jobs

DemandTools is built for Salesforce admins who run the whole data job inside Salesforce. It imports, dedupes, mass-updates and deletes across any Salesforce object, and can match on any field or combination.

Operelio covers four jobs across HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. Its import maps each file with a saved or ready-made mapping, cleans it, checks it against the CRM and reports what will change before it writes.

Mass updates or a master list

DemandTools updates Salesforce records in place. Operelio works from a master list you keep in a watched folder: each time you save a new version, the trail cleans, verifies and pushes it on arrival or at the next scheduled time.

By default it fills only blank fields, so it does not undo edits made in the CRM. A schedule does not re-push an unchanged file; a new version has to land, from you or a scheduled CRM export, as Operelio does not pull records out of Salesforce. It never merges or deletes them.

Matching on import, or a full report

DemandTools matches imports against existing records to keep them duplicate-free. Operelio also reports the outcome of every row before it writes.

Operelio's report gives the reason for each skip and refusal, warns about owners who are not Salesforce users and flags new leads and contacts that look like someone already in Salesforce by name and company.

Routing and AI cleanup in one product

DemandTools covers Salesforce imports, dedupe and mass updates. An Operelio trail also routes: each new contact or company can go to one rep, a column of rep emails or round robin, and you decide whether pushes wait for approval.

Bridgeant (Starter and up) is Operelio's AI. It plans a cleanup with Operelio's own tools from a summary of the file, not the rows, and runs it once you approve.

Where DemandTools is better

  • Salesforce depth

It works on any Salesforce object with any match fields, and can insert, update, upsert and delete in one tool.
  • Restore files

Restore files generated automatically reverse unwanted changes.
  • More than files

The full edition reads other Salesforce orgs, SQL databases and Dynamics 365.

Questions

How much does DemandTools cost?

Validity does not publish the price. Its pricing page asks you to contact a specialist.

Does DemandTools work with HubSpot?

No. DemandTools is built for Salesforce; its site does not list HubSpot.

Can DemandTools prevent duplicates on import?

Yes. Validity says imported records can be compared against existing Salesforce records on several objects in one process, matching on any field or set of fields.

Can Operelio run Salesforce imports automatically?

Yes, on Starter and up. A trail picks up each new file on arrival or on a schedule (every day, on weekdays, once a week or every 6, 8 or 12 hours), cleans and checks it, then pushes. New trails hold each push for your approval.

Is Operelio a DemandTools alternative?

Yes, for imports and lead flow, on HubSpot and Pipedrive as well as Salesforce, from Starter: saved mappings, a check against the CRM before each push, AI cleanup and trails that clean each file and can set the owner. Salesforce dedupe and mass deletes stay with DemandTools.
