Operelio or CSVBox: which to choose
Choose Operelio if
- Your own team imports lead lists into its CRM, and nobody should have to write code for it.
- Columns need merging, splitting or a fixed value, such as one lead source on every row, before they reach CRM fields.
- New files keep arriving, and a trail should import each one, automatically or with approval (Starter and up).
Choose CSVBox if
- You are building a SaaS app and want a ready import screen your customers use to upload spreadsheets.
- Rows should land in your own database, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion or a webhook, not a CRM.
- Your customers upload big files: up to 500 MB, and up to 2 million rows per import on Plus.
Operelio vs CSVBox side by side
| Compared on | Operelio | CSVBox |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Four jobs: a no-code CRM importer, lead flow and routing trails, AI cleanup with Bridgeant by Operelio and 17 cleanup and verification tools. | A CSV importer developers embed in their SaaS app, so their users can upload, map and fix spreadsheets in the browser. |
| Mapping | Saved mappings and ready-made ones for sources such as Apollo and Lusha. Fields can merge, split or take a fixed value. | Smart/AI column matching, saved mappings applied on the next upload and virtual or derived columns. |
| Where rows go | Pushed to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive, matching people by email address and companies by website or name. | Your webhook or 20+ direct destinations, one per sheet. We found no HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive destination. |
| Before rows are written | A report of what will be created, updated, skipped or refused, with reasons, and which rows go without a value the CRM won't take. | Users see a preview and flagged errors before submitting, plus an Excel error report. We found no create-or-update forecast. |
| Existing records | Updates records it finds and creates the rest. Blank CRM fields are filled by default; overwrite is opt-in. Nothing is merged or deleted. | Insert or upsert on some destinations, such as PostgreSQL and Airtable, matched on the index keys you set in the mapping. |
| Email checks | A free email quality check on every plan, and mailbox verification at one credit per address checked on Starter and up. | A validator checks that the column is formatted as an email address. We found no mailbox or domain check. |
| Repeat imports | Trails import each new file from upload, email-in or the API (Pro and up), on arrival or on a schedule, with or without approval. | CSVBox's File API accepts files programmatically but skips the sheet's validation rules. We found no scheduled imports. |
| Price | Free: 15 of 17 tools. CRM push and trails start on Starter at $39 a month billed monthly. | Free Sandbox for 5-row imports, then Startup at $19 a month billed monthly, or $16 a month billed yearly. |

How Operelio and CSVBox differ
An importer embedded in your own app
CSVBox is built into a SaaS product, for that product's customers. Developers drop in its widget, and their users upload CSV, Excel or PDF files, map columns and fix bad rows in the browser. Import Links let you collect files without building a website or an app.
Operelio is the importer your own team runs in the browser. Upload a lead list, map it to the CRM's own fields, clean it in the same place and push it, with no code to write.
CSVBox sends rows to webhooks and databases
CSVBox delivers clean, typed rows to your webhook or to one direct destination per sheet, such as PostgreSQL, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion, Zapier or Make. Its HubSpot guide has your backend post the rows to HubSpot's API.
Operelio pushes to the CRM itself. It matches people by email address and companies by website or name, fills only blank fields by default and never merges or deletes records. Salesforce contacts are linked to accounts and Pipedrive people to organizations.
Email format checks vs mailbox verification
CSVBox validates type, length, range and regex, detects duplicates and normalizes case and whitespace. Its email validator checks that a value is formatted as an email address; we found no mailbox or domain check.
On Starter and up, Operelio's email verification checks whether each mailbox can receive mail, at one credit per address checked. The Finder rebuilds missing or bouncing addresses from patterns in your own file; each new address it checks costs one more credit. Blank cells, malformed addresses and domains with no mail server cost nothing.

Frequently asked questions
How much does CSVBox cost?
CSVBox's paid plans start at $19 a month billed monthly, or $16 billed yearly, on Startup. Plus is $199 a month, or $165 billed yearly, with 2 million rows per import. The Sandbox plan is free forever, with 5 rows per import.
Does CSVBox work with HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive?
We found no direct HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive destination. CSVBox's own HubSpot guide says it delivers validated rows that your backend can post to HubSpot's API. It can also send rows to Zapier, Make or n8n.
Does CSVBox verify email addresses?
It checks the format. Its email validator requires the column to be formatted as an email address. We found no mailbox, MX or deliverability check.
Can Operelio be embedded in my app like CSVBox?
No. Operelio is an importer your own team uses in the browser, with no widget to embed for your customers. It pushes to CRMs, not to your database or webhook. If your customers need an import screen, CSVBox is built for that.
What are the alternatives to CSVBox?
Flatfile is another embedded importer, built for an import screen inside your own app. If your team needs lead lists cleaned, verified and pushed into its CRM, Operelio does that, with CRM push from $39 a month billed monthly.
