How to import Eventbrite data into Monday.com

After your event, export the attendee list from Eventbrite and bring those contacts onto a Monday.com board. The template combines First Name and Last Name into Monday.com's single Name column, then maps email, Cell Phone, company, and the event name into the Notes column so each item shows which event each attendee came from.

Columns we don't use

Your Eventbrite export includes 5 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Monday.com.

Job Title

Monday.com boards don't have a default job-title column.

If you need it. Add a Text column to your Monday.com board called Job Title, then re-run this template to map it.

Home Phone

Monday.com boards have a single Phone column on the standard layout. Cell Phone maps to it; Home Phone doesn't have a default home.

If you need it. Add a Phone column to your Monday.com board called Home, then re-run this template to map Home Phone.

Order Date, Ticket Type, Total Paid

Monday.com boards don't have default event-attendance columns.

If you need it. Add Date, Dropdown, and Numbers columns to your Monday.com board called Order Date, Ticket Type, and Total Paid, then re-run this template to map them.

Formatting and cleanup

Eventbrite exports rarely match the format Monday.com expects. Fix these before you import.

  1. 1.Combines First Name and Last Name into Monday.com's single Name column
  2. 2.Lowercases and trims email addresses
  3. 3.Standardizes phone numbers to international format (+1, +44, etc.)
  4. 4.Maps Event Name to the Notes column so each item shows the event

Eventbrite to Monday.com FAQ

How do I export attendees from Eventbrite?

In Eventbrite, open your event, go to Manage attendees, click Orders, then Export. Choose CSV format.

Why does Event Name go to the Notes column?

Monday.com boards don't have a default event column. Event Name maps directly to the Notes column so each item shows which event the attendee came from. If you run multiple events, you can build saved board views filtered by event.

How does Monday.com handle duplicates on import?

Monday.com boards don't deduplicate on import. Every row in your CSV creates a new item. Run a deduplication pass on your CSV before uploading, especially if attendees registered for multiple events.

Why do you map Cell Phone and not Home Phone?

Cell Phone is typically the primary contact number for event attendees. Home Phone needs a custom column. See 'Columns we don't use' below.

Where do I import the CSV into Monday.com?

Open your contacts board, click the + at the top-right, choose 'Import from spreadsheet', and upload the file Operelio produces. The import wizard matches the column headers to your board columns.
