Where Cognism and monday CRM don’t line up

First Name and Last Name become one Name

Cognism keeps First Name and Last Name apart, and monday CRM has one Name field.

The template joins them, leaving out any that are empty.

Cognism to monday CRM in three steps

Step 1Export from Cognism
  1. Run a Contact Search in Cognism, or open Lists and pick All Contacts, My Contacts or one of your lists.
  2. Use the checkboxes to choose Select Page, Select All or Custom Selection.
  3. Click the option to export the contacts as a CSV file in the toolbar at the top of the page.

You can export up to 10,000 contacts at once from Search, and up to 1,000 per action from All Contacts or My Contacts.

Exporting reveals any contact not yet revealed in the current contract period, and credits are used only for newly revealed contacts.

Step 2Paste into the template

  3. Save monday CRM Contacts import as a CSV.

Works in Excel for Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets. Excel 2019 and older, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice can't run the formulas this file uses.

Step 3Import into monday CRM
  1. Open the Contacts board, open the New contact dropdown and select Import contacts.
  2. Browse to your file or drag it in.
  3. Choose the group to add the items to.
  4. Match each file column to a board column or a new column, or skip it.
  5. Set the duplicate behavior (add as new, skip or update) and click Import Now.

Why do First Name and Last Name become one Name field in monday CRM?

monday CRM items have a single Name column, not separate first and last name columns. The template combines the two Cognism columns with a space so each item displays correctly on the board.
