Where ZoomInfo and Freshsales don’t line up

Two phone columns, one phone field

ZoomInfo splits numbers across Direct Phone and Company HQ Phone.

The template Work Number takes the first of Direct Phone and Company HQ Phone that has a value.

Four columns kept in Description

This template gives LinkedIn Contact Profile URL, Job Function, Management Level and Department no Freshsales field of their own.

The template writes them into Description, each with its label, and leaves empty ones out.

ZoomInfo to Freshsales in three steps

Step 1Export from ZoomInfo

ZoomInfo's help center, including the article below, needs a ZoomInfo login, so these steps may be labeled differently in your account.

  1. Run a contact search in ZoomInfo.
  2. Check the contacts you want to export.
  3. Click the export icon above the search results.
  4. Choose to export the contacts as a CSV file.

Each person record exported uses one export credit.

Re-exporting a record you bought in the last 6 months does not use another credit.

Step 2Paste into the template
  1. Paste the export at A1 of Paste ZoomInfo export here.
  2. Start here checks all 16 columns were found.
  3. Save Freshsales Contacts import as a CSV.

Works in Excel for Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets. Excel 2019 and older, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice can't run the formulas this file uses.

Step 3Import into Freshsales
  1. Go to Contacts in the left navigation bar and choose Import from CSV/XLSX.
  2. Choose contacts only, or accounts along with contacts, and upload the file.
  3. Check the field mapping and set the date format.
  4. Choose whether to create new records, update existing ones or both, and who owns them.
  5. Click Import Now.

Questions

Where does ZoomInfo's Person State column go in Freshsales?

To State on the contact. ZoomInfo's Person State is the person's; Company HQ State describes the company, so the template leaves it out.

Where do LinkedIn Contact Profile URL, Job Function and the other columns go?

Into Description on each contact, labeled like "LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/david-garcia-example | Job function: Engineering | Management level: C-Level | Department: Engineering".

What if my ZoomInfo export has different columns?

This template expects the standard Contact Search column set. Columns like Mobile Phone, Intent and Scoops are not in the expected set, so the import won't reject rows when they're absent. If your export has extra columns, map them by hand in the column mapper.
