After your event, export the attendee list from Eventbrite and bring those contacts into Close. The template combines First Name and Last Name into Close's single Name field, then maps email, company, title, and Cell Phone. Close models prospects as Leads with associated Contacts; this template creates the Contact records, and you associate them to Leads after import.
Field-by-field mapping
This is the complete column mapping from Eventbrite to Close. The left column is the header in your CSV export. The right column is the Close field it should map to.

Columns we don't use
Your Eventbrite export includes 5 columns this template doesn't map. Each one below explains why, plus the workaround if you want the data in Close.
- Home Phone
Close contacts have a single phone field. Cell Phone maps to it; Home Phone doesn't have a default home.
If you need it. Add a custom phone field on the Close Contact called Home Phone, then re-run this template to map it.
- Event Name, Order Date, Ticket Type
Close doesn't have built-in event-attendance fields on Contacts. Event context typically lives on the Lead in Close's data model.
If you need it. Add custom fields on the Close Contact (e.g. Event Attended, Event Date, Ticket Type), or attach event details as a Note on the associated Lead after import.
- Total Paid
Close doesn't have a built-in 'ticket revenue' field on Contacts. Revenue per record lives on Opportunities in Close's data model.
If you need it. If you want to track ticket revenue per attendee, add a custom currency field on the Close Contact called Event Spend, then re-run this template.
Formatting and cleanup
Eventbrite exports rarely match the format Close expects. Fix these before you import.

How do I export attendees from Eventbrite?
In Eventbrite, open your event, go to Manage attendees, click Orders, then Export. Choose CSV format.
Does this create Leads or Contacts in Close?
This template creates Contact records. Close models prospects as Leads with associated Contacts. After import, use Close's bulk-edit tools to associate the Contacts to Leads.
Why do you map Cell Phone and not Home Phone?
Close contacts have a single phone field on the standard layout. Cell Phone is typically the primary contact number for event attendees, so we map it by default. Home Phone needs a custom field.
How do I track which event each contact attended?
Event Name and Order Date don't have default Close contact fields. See 'Columns we don't use' below for the custom-field workaround, or attach event details as a Note on the associated Close Lead.
Will this create duplicate contacts in Close?
Close groups contacts under their Lead (company) record. Within a Lead, Close dedupes contacts on email; across different Leads the same email can appear twice. If a Lead with the same Company name already exists, new contacts attach to it, otherwise a new Lead is created. Spot-check or use Close's bulk-merge tools if you re-import the same export.
