Operelio vs Make
Pick Operelio if you want lead flows ready-made: trails clean, dedupe and verify each file from every lead source, filter it to your ICP, check it against your CRM and route contacts or companies automatically or after approval. Pick Make if you build custom flows across many apps.

Quick answer
Choose Operelio if
- Leads arrive from several sources, and nobody wants to build or maintain the cleanup, verification and CRM matching steps.
- You want a template to start from, such as new inbound leads, a bought list or only the people you sell to.
- Contacts or companies should reach reps by an owner column or round robin, pushed automatically or after your approval.
Choose Make if
- Leads arrive from forms, ad platforms or other apps, not as files.
- You want to build your own logic across many apps, with routers, filters and custom API calls.
- Your volume is low enough for Make's Free plan or Core, from $12 a month billed monthly.
Operelio vs Make side by side
| Compared on | Operelio | Make |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Trails for lead flow and routing, Bridgeant AI cleanup, 17 cleanup and verification tools and a CRM import that reports first, in one place. | A visual builder where you connect modules into scenarios, across many apps. |
| How leads get in | Upload, email to the folder's own address or the API (Pro and up). Runs on arrival or on a schedule. | Any app with a Make module. A custom mailhook gives a Make email address, and the Email app can iterate over attachments. |
| Cleanup and verification | Ready-made steps: dedupe, find and replace, Do Not Contact screening and filters by job function, seniority, industry or company size. Then email verification (credits). | Built from modules you choose and set up. |
| Checking against the CRM | Every row against your live CRM, before anything is written: people by email address, companies by website or name. | Create-or-update modules for HubSpot contacts and Salesforce records. For Pipedrive, search, create and update are separate modules. |
| Before the push | A report of what will be created, updated, skipped or refused, with the reason for each skip and refusal. | Human in the Loop is on the Enterprise plan and in closed beta for invited customers. |
| Routing to reps | Contacts or companies go to one rep, a column of rep emails or round robin that deals each file's rows in turn. | The Router module splits a scenario into routes by the filters you set, with a fallback route. |
| A 5,000-row file | One trail run for the whole file. | About 5,000 credits with one CRM step per row, by our estimate. |
| Price | Free: 15 of 17 tools. Trails and CRM push from $39 a month billed monthly. | Free for 1,000 credits a month. Core from $12 a month billed monthly, for 10,000 credits. |
Pricing
Make charges by credits: each module action is one credit, and a module runs once for each bundle, usually one row. So the cost of a lead file grows with its row count. Paying yearly saves 15% or more.

Key differences
Ready-made, or built by you
A trail comes with the steps a lead flow needs; in Make you build each one from modules. A trail already dedupes, screens your Do Not Contact list, verifies emails, formats each row to your CRM's own fields and checks it against the live CRM.
Templates cover common flows, such as new leads coming in, a file that turns up on a schedule or updating what is already in the CRM. In Make you pick the trigger, modules and filters and maintain them; in return it can model flows across many apps.
What a big file costs
Make bills a big file row by row; an Operelio run does not. A module runs once per bundle, usually one row, so a 5,000-row file with one CRM step per row uses about 5,000 credits. A search and a router per row multiply that, by our estimate from Make's docs.
On Operelio a whole file is one run, within your plan's rows per job. Only email verification is per row: one credit for each row it checks.
Seeing it before it lands
Operelio shows what will be created, updated, skipped or refused before it writes anything, and warns of values your CRM would refuse. Blank fields are filled and existing values kept unless you choose to overwrite.
You choose how hands-off it runs: a new trail holds every push until you approve, and you can let clean runs send on their own. A run that would change a filled-in CRM value always waits. Make has error handlers, and it stores incomplete executions so a failed run can be retried.
Where Make is better
Any source, any app
Forms, ad platforms, Slack and many other apps can sit in one Make scenario.Custom logic
Routers, filters, custom API calls and Salesforce Bulk API modules let you build almost any flow.Low entry price

Questions
What happens when Make runs out of credits?
Make says scenarios stop running until credits are added. Extra credits come in bundles and cost 25% more than those in the plan.
Can Make update leads that are already in my CRM?
Yes for HubSpot contacts and Salesforce records, which have create-or-update modules. For Pipedrive, you build it from separate search, create and update modules.
Can Make route leads to reps?
Yes, if you build it. The Router module sends records down different routes by the filters you set.
Is Operelio free?
Yes. 15 of 17 tools run free, and the cleaning tools are not cut down. The limit is volume: rows, jobs and file size. CRM push, live trails and email verification start on Starter, at $39 a month billed monthly.
Is Operelio a Make alternative?
Yes, for lead flows you would rather not build. A trail comes with dedupe, verification, ICP filters, a CRM check and owner routing built in, and a whole file is one run, not a credit per row. For custom flows across many apps, Make is the builder.
