Where Lusha Prospecting and Copper don’t line up

First name and Last name become one Name

Lusha Prospecting keeps First name and Last name apart, and Copper has one Name field.

The template joins them, leaving out any that are empty.

Lusha Prospecting splits numbers across Phone 1 and Phone 2.

The template Phone Number takes the first of Phone 1 and Phone 2 that has a value.

Lusha Prospecting to Copper in three steps

Step 1Export from Lusha
  1. Run a search in Lusha Prospecting and reveal the contacts with Show details.
  2. Check the revealed contacts you want.
  3. Click the Export icon.
  4. The CSV is saved to your computer, emailed to you and kept in Export history.

A CSV export from Search takes up to 150 contacts at a time.

Revealing an email address uses 1 credit and a phone number 5 credits.

Step 2Paste into the template
  1. Paste the export at A1 of Paste your export here.
  2. Start here checks all 13 columns were found.
  3. Save Copper People import as a CSV.

Works in Excel for Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets. Excel 2019 and older, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice can't run the formulas this file uses.

Step 3Import into Copper
  1. Go to your profile, then Workspace Settings, then Manage Your Data, then Import Data.
  2. Choose People as the record type.
  3. Choose Excel as the file type and select your file.
  4. Fix anything flagged in red using the field menu above each column.
  5. Click Continue Import.

Which Lusha export does this template expect?

The Prospecting export, which ships separate First name and Last name columns, Seniority and Departments and a Phone 1 / Phone 2 structure. If your export has a single Contact name column instead, that's the User Data export. Use the Lusha User Data to Copper Contacts template for that shape.
