This template gives Lifecycle Stage and Lead Status no Freshsales field of their own.

The template writes them into Description, each with its label, and leaves empty ones out.

HubSpot to Freshsales in three steps

Step 1Export from HubSpot
  1. Go to CRM, then Contacts, and open the view you want to export.
  2. Click Export in the upper right.
  3. Choose CSV, XLSX or XLS and enter an export name.
  4. Choose the language for the column headers and click Export.
  5. Download the file from the link HubSpot emails you.

You need Export permissions, and files over 2 MB arrive as a ZIP.

Step 2Paste into the template
  1. Paste the export at A1 of Paste HubSpot export here.
  2. Start here checks all 13 columns were found.
  3. Save Freshsales Contacts import as a CSV.

Works in Excel for Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets. Excel 2019 and older, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice can't run the formulas this file uses.

Step 3Import into Freshsales
  1. Go to Contacts in the left navigation bar and choose Import from CSV/XLSX.
  2. Choose contacts only, or accounts along with contacts, and upload the file.
  3. Check the field mapping and set the date format.
  4. Choose whether to create new records, update existing ones or both, and who owns them.
  5. Click Import Now.

Where do Lifecycle Stage and Lead Status go?

Into Description on each contact, labeled like "HubSpot lifecycle stage: Customer | HubSpot lead status: Connected".

What about HubSpot Deals and Companies?

This template handles HubSpot Contacts only. HubSpot Companies map to Freshsales Accounts, and HubSpot Deals map to Freshsales Deals. Both need separate exports and their own import.
