Key differences
Clean what you have or add data
Operelio makes lists ready for the CRM: exports merged, duplicates removed across them, formats fixed, emails verified and Do Not Contact rows screened out. A trail runs the cleaning and verification on each new file on arrival or on a schedule, then routes and pushes it.
Clay's core job is adding data you do not have: emails, phone numbers and company details from outside providers, and AI research on each row.
What a list costs to process
In Clay, each AI call on a row counts as an Action, and most AI models also use Data Credits, so running one AI column on 50,000 rows uses at least 50,000 Actions. Launch includes 15,000 a month and Growth 40,000.
Operelio's cleaning tools are not metered per row: a file of up to 50,000 rows is one run on Starter, and only email verification and the Finder use credits.
Where the AI does its work
Clay's AI reads each row you run it on, so it can research each company or rewrite each value, and it is paid for row by row.
Bridgeant reads a summary of the file: column names, how full each column is, counts and problems found. The rows themselves are not sent to the model. It plans the whole cleanup at once with Operelio's own tools and shows exact counts. After you approve, the tools make exactly those changes.
Getting the list into your CRM
Operelio pushes to HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive from Starter, with your columns mapped to the CRM's own fields. It looks each row up first: people by email address, companies by website or name. The owner can be one rep, a column of rep emails or, in a trail, round robin.
Clay's HubSpot integration, on Growth and up, can create, look up and update records, create associations and find owners.

Questions
Is Operelio a Clay alternative?
Yes, for the data you already have. Bridgeant plans the cleanup from a summary, not the rows, then Operelio verifies the list and pushes it to your CRM; Bridgeant, verification and push start on Starter. For data found or enriched from outside providers, Clay is the tool.
Can Clay clean a list before a CRM import?
Yes. You can import a list into a Clay table and use formulas or AI columns to fix it.
Does Clay's AI train on my data?
No. Clay says customer data is never used to train its AI models or those of its AI providers.
Is Operelio free?
Yes. 15 of 17 tools run on the Free plan, every dedupe mode, filters and Health Check with its fixes among them. Free is limited by volume: rows, jobs and file size. CRM push, live trails and email verification start on Starter.
Can I use both?
Yes. Export the enriched table from Clay, then run it through Operelio to dedupe it, verify the emails and push it to your CRM, on Starter and up.
