Five steps, start to finish
Here is exactly what to do:
Create your account
Go to operelio.com and click "Get started free". Sign up with your work email, or press Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft. With email, we send a 6-digit code to confirm the address. For now, some Microsoft work accounts see a Microsoft screen asking for an admin's approval; if yours does, sign up with your work email instead. Then pick your plan: Free needs no credit card, and a paid plan opens Stripe checkout next.
Pick a tool
Open Tools in the rail and choose All tools to see every tool, grouped by what it does, each with its name and a short description. A tool your plan doesn't include shows a lock and the plan it comes with. Click the one you need. If you are not sure, try Clean Headers or Excel to CSV for a quick win.
Upload a file
Drag your .xlsx, .xls, or .csv file into the box, click Browse files, or pick one under Start from a recent file. The tool's settings then open with your file at the top.
Configure and preview
Set the tool's options. Some tools need almost no setup (Excel to CSV just asks which tab to export), others have more to configure (Find & Replace lets you add multiple rules with different matching modes). Most tools show a live preview that updates as you change settings. Some show a count of what will change; Find & Replace shows your rows as they will be after the run.
Run it
Click the button under the settings, named for what the tool does (for example Clean headers or Convert to CSV). Your job runs in the background. When it finishes, its page shows the figures, the settings you used, your files and a preview of the output. Click Download beside the result to save it.
File size limits depend on your plan: 2 MB on Free, 25 MB on Starter, 35 MB on Pro, 100 MB on Agency.
What you get on the Free plan
Free accounts can run 5 jobs per month and process files up to 2,000 rows and 2 MB. Output is CSV or Excel. 15 of the 17 tools are available. Pushing to a CRM, deep email verification and Do Not Contact lists need Starter; the Email Verifier's Quick clean is included. The 2 tools that require Starter are Workflow Builder and Company Active Check.
Nothing inside the cleaning tools is locked. Similarity matching in Deduplicate, advanced patterns in Find & Replace, every Column Manager operation: all of it runs on Free. The wall is volume, not features.

Frequently asked questions
Do previews count as jobs?
No. Only running the tool counts as a job. You can preview as many times as you like.
What happens if my file has more rows than my plan allows?
Operelio processes the first rows up to your limit (2,000 on Free, 50,000 on Starter, 75,000 on Pro, 150,000 on Agency) and notes on the job's page your file's total row count, the limit that was applied, and the number of rows processed. Upgrade to process the full file.
Can I undo a transformation?
Operelio never modifies your original file. It creates a new output file. Your uploaded file stays as-is and you can download it again from its results page, which you can reopen from Activity on Home.
